How To Make Carrot Flowers
Following the steps outlined on this website, I tried to make carrot flowers for the kids yesterday. I saw how much they appreciated the heart-shaped pancakes I made for them the other day so I got inspired to make carrot flowers this time.
For someone who’s not born very artistic, I had a hard time cutting out long shallow wedges on the surface of the carrot. There were even times that I peeled off the skin of my nails and almost cut my finger. Gosh, I was so nervous cutting the carrots in a 45-degree angle. Oh boy! This one really does take practice!
Here’s how they turned out.
Hey, they’re not perfectly shaped flowers but they sure look enticing in the eyes of my little angels. Undoubtedly, this is a great way to encourage our kids to love eating! Try it too and make your little ones happy!

These look beautiful sis!
In my case, I believe I have some artistry in me, but I know I have poor kitchen (and knife) skills.. XD hahaha.. But I’ll definitely try making flower-shaped veggies once in a while to make my dishes (or cooking attempts) more presentable.. ^^
hohoho i wonder when will i perfect this, i need more practice!
nice dish…just want to taste it..haha
A good presentation is really attractive. Shaping the carrots like flowers will encourage kids to eat it. Haha.
Fun! But nowadays, there are kitchen stuff that automatically shapes veggies.
So cute! Kind of scary though as I’m pretty useless in the kitchen… last time I tried to slice something I almost cut off my finger. XD
this will definitely make any food presentation an eye-candy
